On ‘Pak day’ function, Hurriyat leaders pitch for purposeful dialogue to end border skirmishes, bloodshed in Kashmir

Geelani calls for meet on Mar 28 to discuss present situation: Chief spokesperson

Srinagar, Mar 26: Hurriyat Conference (G) on Monday said that the leaders who attended the Pakistan Day celebrations at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi pitched for the purposeful dialogue to end the border skirmishes and bloodshed in Kashmir.
Chief spokesperson of the amalgam, G A Gulzar told KNS that the open discussion over the current situation in the state was held in ‘Pak Day’ function.
He said that the main issue between India and Pakistan is unresolved Kashmir issue, which should be resolved through a purposeful dialogue.
The discussion related to the border skirmishes, bloodshed in Kashmir and other related things was held in the function. “The leaders who participated in the function pitched for a purposeful dialogue between to end the border skirmishes and bloodshed in Kashmir,” Chief spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has called for executive meeting of its constituent on Mar 28.
Gulzar informed KNS that Geelani has called for Majlis-e-Shoura meeting on Mar 28 (Wednesday).
He said that the present prevailing situation will be discussed in the meeting.
Chief spokesperson said that earlier the authorities disallowed the executive meetings twice. “Geelani has not chaired the meeting since long as the authorities barred this meeting twice. Now, the meeting will be held on Mar 28,” he said. (KNS)
