Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNS): Asking militant outfit to let her son to return home, the mother of 18-year-old Srinagar boy, Fahad Mushtaq who has reportedly joined the militancy Wednesday made an avid appeal to her son to shun militancy.
The emotional scenes were witnessed at Srinagar’s Press enclave after the mother of Fahad including his relatives assembled there to make an appeal to their beloved whose photograph showing him wielding gun went viral on the social networking site.
“It is for the first that my son lied to me,” Fahad’s mother said while appealing him to return home.
Fahad’s mother and his other relatives who appeared in Mushtaq enclave said that their left home to go with Tableegi Jama’at (group of Da’ee). “My son was inclined towards religion. He lied to me saying he wants to go with Tableegi Jama’at and I let him go,” Fahad’s mother told media persons here.
Amid tear, sobs, she said that her son had promised her that he would return on Monday, but never came back. “We were shocked to see his picture posing with a rifle on social networking site,” Srinagar boy’s mother said.
While making an avid appeal to her son, she communicated to her son through media persons that his father is at SKIMS.
According to the reports, Fahad who is resident of Akalmir Khanyar area of Srinagar’s old city has joined Lashkar-e-Toiba militant outfit.
He appeared in class 10 exams last year but failed to qualify, reports quoting family added. (KNS)
