*DC B'la Inspects Several Locations, Reviews Implementation of COVID-19 SOPs, Guidelines*

Baramulla, July 28: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo accompanied by various concerned officers today inspects several locations at Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan in order to get the first hand appraisal of the implementation of SOPs and guidelines issued in connection with with COVID-19 pandemic. The inspection was carried out in view of 3-days Eid relaxations from 28th of July, that was given by the authorities for public convenience.
On the ocassion, DC took review of requisite advisories especially using face masks and maintaining social distancing wherein he directed the concerned agencies to ensure that all the advisories are implemented at ground level in letter and spirit. He also inspects some vehicles to check whether the passengers are adopting the related advisories. He further stressed for taking strict legal action against the violators.
Meanwhile, DC imposed fine of several persons for not using face masks and appealed the people to use face masks for safeguarding their lives from the infection. He said that special magistrates and mobile teams have been deployed who shall monitor the implementation of requisite guidelines.DC also appreciated some shopkeepers including bakers, butchers who were selling their items by using proper safety gears.
Moreover, Dr Itoo said that adequate arrangements have been made for celebrating Eid smoothly and there is nothing to worry about. He added that district administration has procured 24000 sacrifice animals and about 3.5 lakh poultry birds which shall be made available at different designated locations of the district. DC said that special arrangement have also been made for destitute and poor families besides urging deserving and poor families to come forward in this regard.
