J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) has decided to promote students who have passed at least two subjects in their previous exams

Farzana Shabir (20) hails from Brein Nishat who is very well known because of her different artwork. Fazana is the only artist from kashmir who paints on glass. Faraza is currently pursuing her bachelors from Government Women College Zakura. 

She comes from very educated family background who have been always taught to follow her dreams and Farzana is current doing same. Balancing studies and pasision equally is not everyone's cup of tea but Farzana is doing both with ease. 

While talking to Kashmir Online News : she mentioned it has been my passion to grow in the field of glass painting. It is not as easy as it sounds, I myself was fascinated with this thing as it is very rare and different artform. Learning phase was pretty hard as there was no one to guide then i learned with the help of youtube and gave my all to be what i am right now. I have been following my passion since 8th grade and my art work was seleceted in my school during an art exibition, literally for the first time i felt this is what actully what my soul is looking for and that appreciation gave me boost and with the passage of time as i was growing same was my art but as we all know kashmir is full of tallent people but we lack platforms here, so didnt got any platform to showcase my skills else in different parts of globe people are very facinated with this different and rare artform.

As we know it is very hard to grow in kashmir as an artist but i am giving my everything so i can give wings to my dreams. i have decided after completing my studies i will take my art as my profession. I am huge fan of Pablo Picasso and take him as inspiration too as he has devoted 80 years of his life to art. When i feel to paint there is a voice within me which always reminds me of Pablo Picasso ( Paint whatever you want to paint or what your heart says ) that why with me it is like i only paint when i feel like i have too. 

As this is very rare art form i just want to take this artform to next level, atleast in kashmir. i want more and more people devote there time towards art. I am not charging money for my skills as this is my pasion and i love to paint but it takes alot like glass, colours, frames which are costly , so i just charge what i invest even though it was alot of time to complete just a single painting.
