Students from different areas of Punjab along with a Kashmiri student who are pursuing their studies in SUS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING TANGORI,MOHALI here on Tudesday provided helping hand to slums in Banur area of Punjab. Few students donated some amount to feed the poor people and add happiness to their lives.
Munawar Mehraj , a social worker and an activist associated with different organizations and associations, pursuing Engineering said, “I always found better to help others. I choose to spend weekend with the needy and poor people. I was asked by my classmates to take part in this event.The stock we provided to them was not on a par with their needs but we beings the students managed somehow to bring happiness and make their faces gloom by visiting them.I am always ready to serve humanity as helping hands are better than praying lips”.
Rajan Sharma , an engineering student who always like to help needy people said that “Every student should take part in these activities. Students who are interested can also join us. We have plans to help more people in future as well”.
“We can not help everyone but everyone can help someone.We the students donated the amount from our pocket money ,only to make them happy and bring smile on their faces . We will continue such kind of activities in the coming time. Youth should come forward to serve humanity as well. No one has ever become poor by giving.”,Munawar Mehraj added.
